Cooling fluid level (04_14)

Check the coolant level periodically or af-
ter long trips; have it changed every 2
years at an Official aprilia Dealer.
Coolant solution is 50% water and 50%
antifreeze fluid. This mixture is ideal for
most operating temperatures and pro-
vides a good protection against corro-
sion. It is advisable to use the same
mixture even in hot weather, as this min-
imises loss due to evaporation and the
need of frequent top-ups. Thus, mineral
salt deposits formed in the radiator by

evaporated water are also minimised and
the efficiency of the cooling system is not
affected. When the temperature drops
below zero degrees centigrade, check
the cooling system frequently and add
more antifreeze if needed (up to 60%
max.).
Use distilled water for the coolant solution
so as not to damage the engine.

Peil van de koelvloeistof

Controleer regelmatig en na lange reizen
het peil van de koelvloeistof; Laat de
vloeistof elke 2 jaar vervangen bij een
Officiële aprilia Dealer.
De oplossing van de koelvloeistof be-
staat uit 50% water en 50% antivries. Dit
mengsel is ideaal voor het grootste deel
van de werkingstemperaturen en garan-
deert een goede bescherming tegen cor-
rosie. Het is passend om hetzelfde meng-
sel ook te behouden voor het warme
seizoen, omdat zo verlies door verdam-
ping en de nood voor frequente bijvullin-
gen worden verminderd. Op deze manier
verminderen de bezinksels van mineraal-
zouten die in de radiator van het ver-
dampte water werden gelaten, en veran-
dert de efficiëntie van de koelinstallatie
niet. Wanneer de buitentemperatuur zich
onder het vriespunt bevindt, moet men
het koelcircuit frequent controleren, en
