REMOVING THE HEADLIGHT
FAIRING

Place the vehicle on the center stand.
Remove the rearview mirrors, see page
page 73 (REMOVING THE REARVIEW
MIRRORS).
Remove the front cover, page 74
(REMOVING THE FRONT COVER).
Loosen and remove the two headlight
fairing fixing screws (1).
Remove the headlight fairing (2).

ADJUSTING IDLING SPEED

carefully.
Adjust idling speed when it seems uneven.
To do this:
Travel
a
few
miles
functioning temperature has been
reached, see coolant oil temperature
indicator "
", page 31 (INSTRUMENTS
AND INDICATORS CHART), then stop
the engine.
Place the vehicle on the center stand.
Remove the right inspection cover, see
page page 73 (REMOVING THE RIGHT
AND LEFT INSPECTION COVERS).

Connect an electrical rev counter to the
spark plug wire.
Start the engine.
T h e e n g i n e i d l i n g s p e e d m u s t b e
approximately:
1,750 ± 100 rpm/min.

In this case the rear wheel is not set in
until
normal
motion by the engine.
If necessary:
Open the helmet compartment under the
saddle.
Unscrew the screw (3) and remove the
protective cover (4)
Regulate the adjusting screw (5), located
on the carburetor.
SCREW (clockwise) to increase the
number of revolutions.
UNSCREW (counterclockwise) to reduce
the number of revolutions.
