Chapter 7 Home Networking
Use this screen to set up file sharing using the ZyXEL Device. To access this
screen, click Network Setting > Home Networking > File Sharing.

have been created, these fields will appear empty.

Select Enable to activate file sharing through the ZyXEL Device.
Click this to set up a new share.
Select the check box to make the share available to the network.
This shows whether or not the share is available for sharing.
This field displays the share name on the ZyXEL Device.
This field displays the path for the share directories (folders) on the
ZyXEL Device. These are the directories (folders) on your USB storage
device.
This field displays information about the share.
Click the Edit icon to change the settings of an existing share.
Click the Delete icon to delete this share from the list.
Click this only if you want to define a user name and a password
required to access the share - see 7.5.3.
Note: By default, everyone connected to the
access the share. You only need to create users if you wish
to restrict access to the content on the share.
Select the check box to allow this user to access shares on your
network - see
7.5.3
This shows whether or not the user is able to access shares on your
network.
