Setting
What it does
Some audio sources include ultra-low bass tones.
Set the LFE attenuator as necessary to prevent the
ultra-low bass tones from distorting the sound from
the speakers.
LFE
The LFE is not limited when set to 0 dB, which is the
(LFE Attenuate)
recommended value. When set to –5 dB, –10 dB,
–15 dB or –20 dB, the LFE is limited by the respective
degree. When OFF is selected, no sound is output
from the LFE channel.
SACD GAIN
Brings out detail in SACDs by maximizing the
<e>
dynamic range (during digital processing).
Specifies the routing of the HDMI audio signal out
HDMI
of this receiver (amp) or through to a TV. When
(HDMI Audio)
THROUGH is selected, no sound is output from this
<f>
receiver.
This feature automatically corrects the audio-to-video
delay between components connected with an HDMI
A.DELAY
cable. The audio delay time is set depending on the
(Auto delay)
operational status of the display connected with an
<g>
HDMI cable. The video delay time is automatically
adjusted according to the audio delay time.
C.WIDTH
(Center Width)
Provides a better blend of the front speakers by
(Applicable only
spreading the center channel between the front right
when using a center
and left speakers, making it sound wider (higher set-
speaker)
tings) or narrower (lower settings).
<h>
Adjusts the depth of the surround sound balance
DIMENSION
from front to back, making the sound more distant
<h>
(minus settings), or more forward (positive settings).
Extends the front stereo image to include the sur-
PANORAMA
<h>
round speakers for a 'wraparound' effect.
C.IMAGE
(Center Image)
Adjusts the center image to create a wider stereo
(Applicable only
effect with vocals. Adjust the effect from 0 (all center
when using a center
channel sent to front right and left speakers) to 10
speaker)
(center channel sent to the center speaker only).
<i>
Sets the effect level for the currently selected
EFFECT
Advanced Surround or ALC mode (each mode can be
set separately).
