Make sure your modem PC card is connected properly, and then turn on your laptop PC. Windows should detect your new modem and open the install New Modem wizard. Insert the MT5634ZLX Modem Family CD into your laptop PC’s CD- ROM drive, and then click OK. Windows installs the modem driver.
Important: How to Eject the PC Card The PC Card is a hot-swappable card. However, when the MT5634ZLX/FE is connected to a LAN and transferring data, it is recommended that you use the following steps to eject the PC Card if you choose to do so during this process.

Different countries have different requirements for how modems must function. Therefore, before you use your modem, you must configure it to match the defaults of the country in which you are using it.
