Using a non-PoE device with the TPE-S160 and the TPE-112GS (PoE Splitter)
Note: Take note of the power requirements for your non-PoE device. The TPE-112GS
only supports non-PoE devices with an output power of 5V, 7.5V, 9V or 12V DC.
1. Select the voltage (5V, 7.5V, 9V or 12V) on the
TPE-112GS that is required for your non-PoE
device.
2. Connect an Ethernet cable from a port (1~16)
on the TPE-S160 switch to the PoE IN port on
the TPE-112GS.
3. Connect the built-in Ethernet cable on the
TPE-112GS to the non-PoE device's LAN port
(e.g. TEW-637AP).
4. Connect the provided Jumper cable to your
non-PoE device's power jack (e.g.TEW-637AP)
and to the TPE-112GS's power jack.
5. Verify that the following TPE-S160 panel lights
are on: Power, PoE and Link/ACT.
