Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:

Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see
Remove the speakers:
1.
Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board.
2.
Release the speaker cables from the retention clips (2) that are built into the computer.
3.
Remove the six Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 broadhead screws (3) that secure the speakers to the computer.
4.
Remove the speakers (4) from the computer.
NOTE:
The absence of or damage to these isolators can result in degraded speaker performance.
To replace the speakers, reverse the removal procedures.
