Recording TV Programs
Before You Begin
Make sure that the connections and preparations are
complete.
Check that the REC LEVEL controls are set to the
position.
Caution
Television programs, films, video tapes and other
materials may be copyrighted.
Unauthorized recording of such material may be
contrary to the provisions of the copyright laws.
Also, use of this recorder with cabie television
transmission may require authorization from the
cable television transmission and/or program owner.

To stop recording, press @ STOP.
To stop the tape for a moment, press m» PAUSE.
To resume recording, press «| PAUSE again.
During recording, if the pause mode lasts for more than
approximately 5 minutes, the VCR enters the stop mode
automatically.
When the tape reaches its end
The tape is automatically rewound to the beginning and
the power remains on.
1 Insert a cassette.
The VCR is turned on automatically (Auto power on).
Press INPUT SELECT to display the TUNER indicator
in the display window.
Select the recording tape speed, SP or EP with REC
MODE.
4 Turn on the TV.
If your TV is equipped with video/audio input jacks
Select the input for the VCR.
If your TV is not equipped with video/audio input
jacks
Select the channel for the VCR (3 or 4,)
Press ANT TVIVTR so that the VTR indicator lights.
(Necessary only when the VCR and the TV are
connected via the VHF antenna terminal.)
Select the channel to be recorded with CHANNEL
+/- or channel number button(s) and ENTER.
Press the two @ REC buttons simultaneously.
(On the VCR press @ REC)
The REC indicator lights and recording begins.
