2.4 Memory Support and Installation

Important: Exercise extreme care when installing or removing memory modules to
prevent any possible damage.
Memory Support
This motherboard supports up to 8TB 3DS RDIMM/RDIMM DDR5 (288-pin) ECC memory with
speeds up to 5600MT/s (1DPC) or 4400MT/s (2DPC) in 32 DIMM configuration (Note below).
Note: Memory speed and capacity support depends on the processors used in the
system. The 5th Gen. Xeon Scalable processors support DDR5 memory with speeds
up to 5600MT/s (or up to 4400 MT/s in 32 DIMM configuration). The 4th Gen. Xeon
Scalable processors support DDR5 memory with speeds up to 4800MT/s (or up to
4400 MT/s in 32 DIMM configuration).
