Sequential Play
Label must face upward.

In step 4, connect the stereo headphones/sarphones to the (> jack. (Plug in firmly.)
@Play stops automatically when all the tracks have been played,
èlf the unit has been connected ta the car audio system, adjust the volume teval between 4 and 6 on the unit, then adjust tha volume
level on the system.

®During program play (page 4}, these buttons are
used to skip forward or back through the pro-
grammed sequence of tracks.
@During random play (page 4), the skip buttons
cannot be used to skip back to tracks that were
played previously in the random sequence.

This function causes the unit to ignore short, accidental
button presses. (The disc lid can still be opened and
closed.}
The HOLD function prevents the following:
ePowering on the unit accidentally (which can cause
the batteries to go dead).
ePlay being cut off unexpectedly in the middle of a se-
tection.
To use the HOLD function
Set [HOLD] to the HOLD position.

SL-S365 ONLY
The unit and wired remote control have [HOLD] switch-
es, each of which works independently.
(The hold indicator lights green when the remote control
is in hold position.)

For your reference:
"no d t 5E" indication
This indication appears for about 30 seconds if [> Il] is pressed
when no disc is loaded in the unit or if the disc is not completely
seated.
"AP ER" indication
This indication appears for about 10 minutes when the cover is
opened. (However, the indication does not appear when the unit
is powered off.)
Never insert foreign objects into the unit body.
Removing discs
After ihe disc has stopped rotating, press [PUSH] to release the
disc. (To protect the disc, never open the cover while it is play-
ing.)
Auto power off function
If the unit is left in stop or paused status for approximately
10 minutes, the unit powers itself off automatically in order
to prevent tha battery from running down.
{lf no disc is loaded in the unit, it powers itself off in 30 sec-
onds.)
SL-S361C/SL-S362C ONLY
Backlight
The backlight comes on to ilturninats the display panel when the
unit is used with a AC adaptor or car adaptor.
HOLD Function

"hold" indication
When the unit is in hold status, pressing any button
(other than the OPEN
button) causes the indication
"ho i d" to appear on the display.
When the unit is powered off
The "hot" indication appears only when [> Jf] is
pressed.
Before operating the buttons
Be sure to move [HOLD] to release the unit from
the hold mode.
