4-6. REPEATER OPERATIONS
4-6-1.Transmitter Offsets
All amateur radio repeaters utilize a separate receive and
transmit frequency. The receiver frequency may be either
above or below that of the transmit frequency. The config-
uration of most repeater will fall into one of the categories
listed below:

Offset Direction
To select the desired transmitter offset direction press the
SHIFT key. Each time you press the key the transceiver will
advance from one direction to the other, i.e.' + ''to''—"
("—"" to ''——"'
with European versions) to no offset
(simplex).
