If you want to install an adapter in an IBM PC, an IBM PC XT,
or an IBM Personal Computer AT, continue with the following
procedure.
• Medium. flat-blade screwdriver
• Small, flat-blade screwdriver
• Medium screwstarter (optional)

Make sure you have recorded your switch settings and
labeled the adapter. See "Setting the Switches" on
page 2-2 and '"Labeling Adapters" on page 2-9.
Warning:
If you have an IBM computer with a fixed disk
drive. you need to prepare the fixed disk for relocation to
protect it from being damaged. Load the IBM computer
diagnostics diskette for your system uni t and select the
option "Prepare System for Relocation" before continuing
with this procedure.

Set the power switch on your computer to Off.

Set the power switch on all attached devices to Off.
