Switch DCP Discovery

Navigate to Menu>System>DCP Discovery
In the Discovery and Set via PROFINET Discovery and Configuration Protocol (DCP), select Interface
and click Discover.
All devices reachable on the same sub-net network will be discovered and populated in the table for the
Port via which the device can be reached, MAC Address, Device Type, Device Name, IP address, Subnet
Mask, Gateway Address, Status Device Name and Status IP Address, Timeouts, Blink for LEDs.

7.3.1 Switch Port Diagnostic
Navigate to Menu > System > Port Diagnostic to perform the Ethernet cable and Fiber optic cable tests
without disconnecting the cables from the switch and saving a lot of time and effort:
Cable Tester tab to run diagnostic on each Ethernet cable connected to Ports 1 - 6, without
removing the cable from the switch, and without connecting the cable to the tester, installing loop-
back module at the other end, so short-circuits and cable breaks can be localized to within a few
meters.
NOTE: Wire pairs 4-5 and 7-8 of 10/100 Mbps network cables are not used.
Pair 1 = pins 1-2, Pair 2= pins 3-6, Pair 3= pins 4-5, Pair 4= Pins 7-8.
SFP Diagnostic tab to run the Small Form-factor pluggable (SFP) Transceiver diagnostic on the
optical Ports 7 and 8, for the corresponding model of the Transceiver SFP991-1LD for Single
mode or SFP991-1 for Multi-mode fiber, its revision, Serial Number, and other actual value
readings.
