Troubleshooting guide

Observe Safety Guidelines
detailed in the beginning of this manual.
PROBLEMS
(SYMPTOMS)
The feeder does not power up
– no display – no cold feed.
The wire feeder powers up, but
there is no output when the
gun trigger is pulled. The
shielding gas flows and the
drive rolls turn.
No shielding gas.
The welding current is not
being displayed.
The CrossLinc™ function does
not work.
If for any reason you do not understand the test procedures or are unable to perform the test/repairs safely, contact the
Lincoln Electric Service Department for electrical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed. Call 1-888-935-3877.
POSSIBLE AREAS OF
MISADJUSTMENT(S)
FUNCTION PROBLEMS
1. The work sense lead has an
open or poor connection
(across the arc model).
2. The power source is off.
Make sure the OCV of the
power source is between 15-
110 VDC.
1. Check the connections
between the gun and the
feedplate.
2. The gun may be faulty.
1. The gas supply may be off or
empty.
2. The gas hose may be cut or
crushed.
3. The flow meter is closed.
Dirt or debris is in the solenoid.
4. There may be a loose
connection at the solenoid.
1. Make sure amperage is
selected in the set-up menu.
1. Make sure the LN-25x is
connected properly to a Lincoln
CrossLinc™ compatible power
source.
2. Make sure the power source
is in remote control.
3. Make sure the OCV is at
least 60 VDC.
