An additional installation of an expansion tank (5) in the water circuit compensates the thermal expansion of the re-
frigerant in the chiller.
Due to a temperature controller the fan coil (2) starts automatically at a temperature of 3 ... 4 °C. The cooling wa-
ter temperature is kept in the range of 7 ... 11 °C. After starting the ventilation system the individual fan coil environ-
ments can be switched on. Each cabin has a temperature controller.
Temperature controller
The fan coil can be connected to the following control units:
• Manual selector switches with 2 or 3 fan speeds
• Displays with 10 fan speeds
The desired cabin temperature can be set by using a display or a room thermostat.
The fan coil can be set to 4 different ventilation modes:
Mode
AUTO
Cooling
Heating
Electric heater
A single temperature controller can be connected to various fan coils in the same cabin.
Automatic temperature settings
NOTE The automatic temperature setting is only activated in the cooling, heating, and electric heater
mode.
If the cabin temperature set point differs significantly from the actual cabin temperature, the fan operates at maximum
speed. When the cabin temperature approaches the set temperature, the fan speed automatically reduces to the
programmed minimum.

8 Before installation

1.
Ensure that the packages and components are not damaged.
2. If necessary, contact the Dometic service center (see back of this manual).

9 Installation

WARNING! Electrocution hazard
• Connect the fan coils only to the voltage specified on the data plate.
• Do not use defective isolation to prevent short circuit.

Description
The fan speed can be selected using the selector switch or the display.
The fan coil is supplied with cold water from the chiller to decrease the cabin temperature.
The fan coil is supplied with hot water from the chiller to increase the cabin temperature.
The fan coil is not supplied with water and heats the air through a resistor.
