Lubrication
Lubricate the unit at the following lubrication points shown
in Figure 24.
Grease:
i_ • front caster wheel axles
• front caster yokes
• roller straps (deck lift pivots)
• mower deck idler arm pivot
• mower deck arbors
Use grease fittings when present. Disassembleparts to apply
greaseto moving parts when greasefittings are not installed.
Not all greases are compatible. Use automotive-type lithium
grease.
Oil:
• control handle pivots
• discharge chute hinge
Generally,all moving metal parts should be oiled where
contact is made with other parts. Keepoil and grease off
belts and pulleys. Rememberto wipe fittings and surfaces
clean both before and after lubrication.
