4. Insert a clean bit up to the drill bit flutes
for small bits, or as far as it will go for
large bits.

5. Close chuck by rotating the chuck sleeve

clockwise
and securely tighten by hand

Push the bit all the way and try to pull it
back slightly to make sure that it is locked

in the adapter.
To remove a bit, push the outer housing of
the adapter towards the tool, and pull the bit
out (Fig. 12).
Changing the Position of the
Auxiliary Handle (GFA18-H Ham-
mer Adapter – Sold separately)

Auxiliary Handle 19 must be adjusted to
achieve safe work posture and minimize fa-
tigue.

Turn the gripping portion of the handle in
the counterclockwise direction until the

handle is free to rotate around the ham-

mer adapter, but it is still attached to it.

Rotate the handle to the desired position.

Secure the handle to the adapter by turn-

ing the gripping zone in the clockwise di-

rection to tighten it.

Check to verify that the clamping band of the
auxiliary handle is positioned in the groove
on the housing of the hammer adapter.
