MOTOR BRUSH REPLACEMENT
Tools Needed:
Phillips screwdriver
Flatblade screwdriver
NOTE:
Replace the brushes when they have worn
to no less than 1/2 in. See STEP 1, Fig 14.
Note that the brushes wear differentlv on
each side
of the motor. Brush Repai; Kit

is available.
1. Remove the motor cover (14). See Fig 13.
2. Remove the screws
(HI,

the motor. See Fig 13.

Push down and then in on the spring clip, and t h & i
pull the clip out of the brush holder. Refer to STEP
3, Fig 14. Keep.the spring clip.
4. Loosen the brush lead terminal screw and remove
the lead.
5. Remove and discard the brush.

11. Reinstall the brush inspection covers, gaskets, and
screws.
