Do not install DIMM modules supporting different speeds. All DIMMs installed must be
the same speed.
Install each DIMM into both slots within a single bank (1A with 4A; 2B with 5B; 3C with
6C). To ease successive DIMM installation, upgrade memory by installing DIMM pairs
into banks in sequential bank order, starting with bank B.
To remove a DIMM:
1. Power down the server. See "Powering Down the Server" in this chapter.
2. Unlock the front bezel (tower server only).
4. Press both DIMM slot release latches outward O.
5. Lift the DIMM module out of the slot ©.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to remove other DIMMs.

To replace the DIMMs:
1. Align the key slot in the bottom edge of the DIMM with the tab in the slot.
