Active Sensing

* When Active Sensing is received, the unit will begin monitoring the intervals of all further messages. While munitor-
ing, if the interval between messages exteeds 420 ms, ihe soma processing will be corried out os when All Sounds
Off, All Notes Off ond Reset All Controllers are received, and message interval monitoring will be halted.

System Exclusive messages, Dato Requests {RQ1}, and Data Set (DTT).
System exclusive messages related to mode seftings
These messages ore used to initialize a devite to GS or General MIDI mode, or change the operating mode. When
«tealing performance dato, « "Tum General MID! System On" message should be inserted at the beginning of o
General MIDI score, 0 "GS Reset® message ot the beginning of a GS music dato, ond a "System Mode Set" message
at the beginning of doto especially for the M-GS64. Eoch song should contain only one mode message os appropriate
for the tyne of data, (Do not insert two or more mods setting messages in a single sang.)
"System Made Set" ond "GS Rese!" use Roland system exclusive format "Dota Set | (DT1)". "Turn Generel MID!
System On" use Universo! Non-realtime Message format.

JAIDI System - Level 1), After receiving this message, M-GS64 will automatically be set to the proper condition for
carzeclly playing a General MIDI score.

oppenrs ot the beginning of GS music dato, and o GS device thot receives this messoge will automatically be set to
the proper state to correctly playbork GS music data. If the M-GS64 is in MODE-1 (single module mode) oll 32 Parts
will be initiotized. tf in MODE-2 {double module mode}, only the corresponding }6 Parts wili be initialized. in MODE-
2 if the receiving MIDI connector for eoch Part hos been changed, this may affect playback from the other MIDI con-
nector. fn this case, first perform inilinlization (page 17} before using this command.
