3.4.2.4 - Features
3.4.2.4a – Features for TV and Video Mode
Note: This option is different for the PC mode. See Section 3.4.2.4b for additional details.
Sleep Timer – Allows for the user to automatically turn the LCD
TV off at 30 minute increments (30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes).
Note: to see how many minutes remain before the TV shuts
off, press the Sleep button. The setting can be cancelled by
pressing any button during the last minute of operation.
Closed Caption – Allows for the user to read the voice content of
television programming on the TV screen. Options include
NONE, CC1, CC2, Txt1 and Txt2.
Parental Control – Allows for the user to block programming based on movie and television
industry ratings. Note: the user must enter a password to adjust any of these settings. See
Section 3.4.3 - Using the Parental Controls, page 24 for additional details.
Freeze – Allows the user to freeze the picture. Choose either "Freeze On" or "Freeze Off" within
the OSD menu. Note: after freezing a picture on the screen, when the Freeze control is
turned off, the normal signal programming will be shown at present time. The signal that was
being shown while the picture was frozen will not be viewable.
Language – Allows for the user to change the OSD Menu language. Options include either
English or Spanish.
Factory Settings – Resets the TV back to the factory settings, including the Parental Control
feature.
3.4.2.4b – Features for PC Mode
Information – Shows the current PC resolution timing with refresh
rate.
OSD Setting – Allows the user to adjust the position of the
picture, the OSD timer, and the background shading.
Language - Allows for the user to change the OSD Menu
language. Options include either English or Spanish.
Resolution Notice – Shows the current PC resolution timing.
DPMS (Display Power Management Signaling) – when ON, this
makes the screen black when there is not any signal present,
or the screen saver has timed out.
Mode Message – When it is ON, it shows the LCD monitor mode. When it is OFF, it will only
show Video and Cable/Air.
Factory Settings - Resets the TV back to the factory settings, including all picture, sound, and
color settings.
