The following figure shows the measurement coprocessor and identifies some
components of interest:
RAM-1
RAM-2
FPU
In
the figure above, the two memory-board locations ("RAM-l" and "RAM-2")
are outlined with dashed lines. Your measurement coprocessor should have at
least one memory board, installed at the factory in the RAM-llocation. (The
measurement coprocessor will not function if there is no memory board in the
RAM-llocation.) There may also be a memory board in the RAM-2 location,
depending on the memory option you ordered. For further information about
the memory boards, refer to "Installing the Memory Boards" later in this
manual.
The figure also identifies the hardware configuration switch, SW1, which is
shown in its default configuration (all segments in the "closed" position).
The Floating-Point Unit (FPU) mayor may not be present depending on the
options you ordered. If the FPU is not present, there will be an empty socket
for it in the location shown in the figure.
