ALIGNMENT
1. GENERAL
Read the following carefully before attempting alignment.

A warm up period of at least twenty minutes should be allowed for proper
stabilization of test equipment and receive
Alignment requires en exact procedure and sequence of contents.
A fine blade non-metallic alignment tool is required for peaking of coils during alignment.
Isolation transformer should be used to prevent shock hazards.
The test equipment specified or its equivalent is required to perform the alignment properly.
Use of equipment that does not meet these requirement may result in improper alignment.
Correct matching of the equipment is essential.
Failure to use the proper matching will result in response which can not represent the true operation of the receiver.
Excessive signal and bias voltages from the generator can cause overloading of the receiver circuits and distortion
of the response curve.
All shields and shield grounding braids must be in place and grounded to chassis before proceeding with alignment.
The A.C. power line voltage should be kept within the standard voltage + 5 volts during alignment.
10) Do not attempt to connect or disconnect any wire while the receiver is in operation.
