if any difficulty should arise during operation, first check
the power cord connection, then go through the following
list. Should the difficulty persist, unplug the unit and
contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service
facility.

Streaks or snow on the playback picture
A tape recorded on another recorder is being played back.
Adjust TRACKING until you get the best possible picture. Allow
a second or two for the new settings to take effect. When playback of
this particular cassette is finished, return the control to its center detent
position.
The video heads may be contaminated. Clean the heads using the
Sony L-25CL video head cleaning cassette. For details on cleaning,
refer to the instructions furnished with the cleaning cassette. If the
cleaning cassette is not available in your area, have the heads cleaned
at the nearest Sony facility.
TV recording has not been made correctly.
The cassette is ejected when RECORD or
RECORDING
TIMER REC is pressed.
Timer recording has not been made
