When an error occurs, locate the cause according to the list below. in most cases, the
problem is incorrect connections or settings.
See "Reset Button" on page 13.
Doublecheck the connections and settings using the Checklist.
if connections and settings are correct, press the Reset button.
If the malfunction continues even after pressing the Reset button:
In case of trouble
When the unit does not operate properly, contact your dealer or the nearest
authorized PIONEER Service Station.

Checklist
Symptom
Unnatural sound.
No operation (no sound).
Cause
The special red battery lead is
incorrectly connected.
The ground lead is incorrectly
connected.
The fuse is blown.
The battery is not connected. Connect the battery.
Connect the special red battery lead
correctly to the positive (+) terminal of
the battery.
Connect the black ground lead correct-
ly to the metal part of the vehicle
body.
Remove the cause and replace with
another fuse of the same rating.

Incorrect connection.
The speaker lead is disconnected.
The address, network mode
and fader setting switches are
incorrectly set.
Wrong polarity (+/-) of the
speaker lead.
Make sure all the connectors are prop-
erly connected.
Connect the speaker lead properly.
Set the address, network mode and
fader setting switches correctly, then
press the Reset button.
Follow the polarity indicated at the
speaker OUTPUT terminal.
