INTENDED USES
The Corometrics Model 325 Maternal/Fetal Simulator, shown
in Figure 2-1. provides electronically generated input signals
for ensuring the proper function of a Corometrics Maternal/
Fetal Monitor. It can be used by service personnel to
establish basic monitor functions—it cannot be used to
calibrate or compare measurements. The simulator does not
have sufficient accuracy or repeatability.
The Model 325 Simulator is also helpful in demonstrating the
features of a maternal/fetal monitor.
Signals are provided for verifying the functionality of the
following operating modes:
* FECG (fetal electrocardiograph)
* MECG (maternal electrocardiograph)
+ US or US2 (ultrasound)
+ FMD (fetal movement detection)
* TOCO (tocotransducer)
* IUP (intrauterine pressure)
The simulator is designed to provide signals for the following
monitors:
+ Model 150 Fetal Monitor
e Model 151 Fetal Monitor
* Model 155 Fetal Monitor
e Model 116 Fetal Monitor
« Model 118 Maternal/Fetal Monitor
+ 120 Series Maternal/Fetal Monitor

FEATURES
The following is a list of the Model 325 Simulator's most
outstanding features:
* Dual heart rate capability for generation of two
different heart rates, simultaneously—US and FECG
or US and MECG.
* Generation of fetal movement detection.
* Rate and level controls for verification of monitor
performance.

* Internal memory stores 34 minutes of typical heart rate
and uterine activity patterns.
* Line powered for operation without the use of the
Central System connector on the rear panel of the
monitor.
