SURROUND EFFECT AND DOLBY 3CH LOGIC
SURROUND LEVEL ADJUSTMENT
1. Select the desired mode with the DOLBY PRO LOGIC button,
DSP MODE button or DOLBY 3CH LOGIC button.

2. When you select DOLBY PRO LOGIC, DOLBY 3CH LOGIC, or
PRO LOGIC THEATER, press the CENTER MODE button of the
remote control unit.

- Use SPEAKERS button to turn on front speakers.
. Adjust MASTER VOLUME to a suitable listening level.
. Adjust the BALANCE control to center position.
. Press the remote control's TEST TONE button to switch the
test tone ON.
Adjust so that the volume level is the same from each of the
speakers.
e@ Use the CENTER LEVEL +, — button of the remote control unit
to adjust the center speaker volume level.
© Use the REAR LEVEL +, — button of the remote control unit to
adjust the rear speakers volume level.

8. Press the remote control's TEST TONE button to switch the
test tone OFF.

. Select the component for playback with the input selector
buttons.
. In the case of DOLBY PRO LOGIC SURROUND,
DOLBY 3CH
LOGIC or PRO LOGIC THEATER, select the center mode with
the remote control's CENTER MODE button.
. Begin playback.
. Adjust volume level with the MASTER VOLUME control.
SETTING THE EFFECT LEVEL
When
using
DSP
MODE
(JAZZ,
DANCE,
HALL,
PRO
LOGIC
THEATER),
adjust the total effect to your desired level with the
EFFECT LEVEL +, — buttons of the remote control unit.
© A numerical display from 10 to 80 of the effect level is shown in the
display section.
SETTING THE DELAY TIME
When
using
DOLBY
PRO
LOGIC
SURROUND
or SIMULATED
SURROUND, you can set the delay time between 16 ms and 30 ms (2
ms step). The standard setting is 20 ms, but you can select any
setting of your choice.
When you press the DELAY TIME button on the remote control, the
current delay time is displayed. Pressing it again changes the delay
time.
