HOW TO USE THE ACOUSTIC MEMORY
Up to 5 different tone settings can be memorized.
Memorized tone settings can be recalled using the ACOUSTIC SELECT
button,
Setting the Memory
1. Perform desired sound quality adjustments.
* Refer to 'HOW TO USE THE TONE CONTROL"
2. Press the ACOUSTIC/ENHANCER
MEMORY button.
e 'SELECT A — E" flashes in the display section.
3. While it is flashing, press the ACOUSTIC SELECT button, and
select the acoustic memory to which you wish to assign the setting
(A — €).
* When the memory position letter (A — £) stops flashing and
"COMPLETE"
lights up, it is memorized. If a. memory position
(A — —) is not selected while flashing, no memory position is
memorized.
Recalling tone setting in the Acoustic Memory
To recall the memorized tone setting, press the ACOUSTIC SELECT
button to select the desired memory
position.

FLAT: For flat (normal) frequency response.
LOUDNESS: Emphasizes the low- and high-frequency ranges. Produces
a fuller sense of sound, particularly when listening at low volume.
A — E: Memorized acoustic memory settings.
HOW TO USE THE ENHANCER AND SPLIT SCREEN
The built-in video enhancer lets you adjust picture quality for playback
or recording.
The video enhancer has no effect on S (video) and MULTI-ROOM &
VIDEO OUT output signals.
When selecting a video component with the input selector, and when
the V-SIGNAL SELECTOR is ON, you can switch the enhancer ON.
1. Turn the ENHANCER OFF/ON button ON.
¢ "ENHANCER"
is indicated in the display section.
2. Adjust the effect level with the JOG dial.
With the split screen, you can see the picture with the
enhancer ON and OFF at the same time.
Turn the split screen ON with the SPLIT SCREEN OFF/ON button, and
a vertical line appears in the center of the screen.
When performing enhancer adjustments, the left side shows the picture
without enhancer adjustment, and the right side shows the picture with
enhancer adjustment. This lets you easily confirm how much you have
adjusted the picture with the enhancer.
When using the split screen function, the video signal output from the
VCR 1 and VCR 2 REC jacks will provide a complete picture on the
screen showing the effects of enhancer adjustment, and not a split
screen.
HOW TO USE THE ENHANCER MEMORY
Up to five different enhancer settings can be memorized.
Memorized enhancer settings can be recalled using the ENHANCER
SELECT button.
Setting the Memory
1. Adjust picture quality to the desired level with the enhancer.
* Refer to ''HOW TO USE THE ENHANCER AND SPLIT SCREEN''.
2. Press the ACOUSTIC/ENHANCER MEMORY button.
® "SELECT A — E" flashes in the display section.
3. While itis flashing, press the ENHANCER SELECT button and select
the enhancer memory to which you wish to assign the setting
(A — £).
* When the memory position letter (A — E) stops flashing and
"'COMPLETE" lights up, it is memorized. If a memory position
(A — E) is not selected while flashing, no memory position is
memorized.

4. Press the ENHANCER
SELECT button. Call up the programed
memory position letter, and confirm that the enhancer effect level
is correctly memorized.
Recalling enhancer setting in the Enhancer Memory
To recall the memorized
enhancer settings, press the ENHANCER
SELECT button to select the desired memory
position.
