Whileit is notnecessary t o usethesefeatures [ o
operate the unit,theyprovide additional options that
you maywishto use.
DisplayBrightness
rhe AVR225's MainInformation Display[]
is set
at a default b rightness l evel t hatissufficient for viewing
h a normally l it room.However, insomehometheater
installations, youmaywishto occasionally lowerthe
brightness of the display, or turnit off completely.

turnon at a specific setting, r egardless o f whatwas

Semi-OSDSettings
TheSemi-OSD s ystemplaces one-line messages a t
thelowerthirdofthe videodisplay screen whenever
the Volume, inputSource, S urround m odeor tunerfre-
quency of anyofthe configuration settings is changed.
lhe Semi-OSD systemis helpful i nthatit enables you
to havefeedback on anycontrol c hanges o r remote
commands u sin 9 the videodisplay whenit is difficult
to viewthe front-panel displays. However, you may
occasionally prefer t o turnthesedisplays o ff fora par-
ticularlistening s ession. Y oumayalsowantto adjust
thelengthof timethedisplays remain on the screen.
