Recording on the VCR

if a TV is connected to the "TV/VCR 2" terminals, you can record off
it.

Be sure to set the TV/VIDEO mode on the TV to "TV".
Press TV/VCR 2 (input select
button).
Recording from a second VCR (VCR 2)
or laser disc player (VDP)

You can record from a camcorder or other video sources by con¬
necting the source to the "VCR2" terminals on the front and "VDP"
terminals on the rear of the receiver.
For SA-EX500-
If a second VCR or laser disc player is connected to the 'TV/VCR 2"
terminals, you can record off it.
Camcorder, etc.

To watch the picture you are recording into VCR 1, set the TV to
the VIDEO mode.
Select the TV channel.
Press TV/VCR 2 (Input select
button).
Begin recording on the VCR 1.
