TESTING GAS LEAKS
When you suspect that the heater is leaking, turn off the gas supply and have the unit inspected
by a qualified technician. Do not attempt to locate the source of leak with a naked flame. Locate
it by sound, smell or by applying soapy water. Any bubbles forming will indicate the whereabouts
of a leak.
IN EVENT OF LEAKAGE, THE APPLIANCE SHOULD BE TURNED OFF AT THE
REGULATOR SWITCH‐ON VALVE AND THE REGULATOR DISCONNECTED

The appliance shall not be used in high rise flats, in bathrooms, basements or bedrooms.
Do not move the appliance when operating, shocks and bumps may activate the safe
device.
Do not direct the heater towards equipment, furniture, curtains or anything else that may
catch fire.
Do not use your heater while sleeping.
Always face the heater towards the center of the room.
Use only in a well‐ventilated room. Ventilation is vital for the efficient performance of this
heater and for safety of the occupants of the room in which it is being used. Allow plenty of
fresh air in, never seal up the doorways and windows.
Prevent young children and elderly people from touching very hot surfaces.
The normal dress guard only protects against accidental clothing contact.
Do not place clothes or other material on the heater. Keep all flammable materials
at least one meter away from the heater.
Turn off the gas valve and gas supply after its application.
Never use or store solvents and pressure pack can sans near a gas heater‐even if the heater
is turned off.
Never dispose of rubbish such as cigarette butts in a gas fire‐this can affect
combustion and produce dangerous pollutants.
Always operate the gas control and cylinder valve from the side or rear of the
heater. Standing in front of the heater exposes you to the risk of burns.
Do not use the heater with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches the
heater on automatically.
HOW TO CHANGE A CYLINDER
 The cylinder should be changed in accordance with instructions provided.
 Turn off at the regulator and allow the heater to cool fully before removing and replacing
the cylinder. Do not attempt to replace the cylinder while the heater is still in use.
