containing
ethylene
glycol,
availabte at

Porsche dealer. Anli-freeze
other
than
specified
by
Porsche
for
aluminium
engi_

87.C and untit the en-l
gine itself
has cooled
down
sufficienfly.

Checking
coolant level in expansion tank
A
correctly
functionrng cooling
system
re-
qurres
only
minor
care.
The coolant
level
should
be checked
from
time
to
time.
and
always before
going on
a longer
trip.
The
expansion
tank
with
filler
cap
opening
is
localed
in
the
engine comparlment
(see
illuslration). Since
the
expansion
tank
is
transparent,
the coolant
level can be check-
ed visually
without
removing the
filler
cap.
When
the
engine is
cold, the coolant
level
should be
between
the minimum and
maxi_
mum mark
on
the expansion tank.
Since
the closed coollng
system loses
at_
most
no
coolant,
topping
up is
normally
not
required.
An
obvious loss
of
coolant
indicates
leakage.

case

dealer.
