Lever lor
Windshield Wiper/Washer
and Headlight Washer
The
windshield
wiper/washer
switch
has se-
ven
positions:
1
-
Low speed
2
-
Normal speed
3
-
High
speed
4
-
lntermittent wiper operation
5
-
Windshleld washer
Pulling the
lever
from its
basic position to-
wards the steering wheel activates the
wind-
shield washer pump in
the
first
stage.
Re-
leasing the
lever causes the wiper to perform
several dry wipes.

the
second stage,
the
windshield
washer and the wipers
operate together.
When the ignition
is switched
on, the washer
nozzles are
heated.

Headlight washer
To operate the headlight washer, push
the
washer lever in the direction
of the
dash-
board. The system only operates when
the
headlights are
switched
on.
A
separate pump supplies high,pressure wa-
ter
to
the
spray nozzles located
in front of
the
headlights on the
bumper. The
high
pressure stream soaks the
dirt
on the
lenses
and washes
it
off.
Repeat the wash cycle
as
necessary
to
remove
heavy
djrt
accumula-
tion.
Avoid running the
wiper
btades
over a dry
windshield to prevent scralching the glass.
Spray on
washe. fluid
lirst. A
scratched
windshield will
reduce visibility.
Always loosen blades lrozen
to glass
be-
fore operating wipers to prevenl damage to
wipe,
molor.
