10. RADIO SCAN
Press the SCAN to automatically sample
strong stations. Scanning stops at each sta-
tion for about five seconds (Type B); eight
seconds (Type C). To hold a station, simply
press SCAN again during this fi ve seconds
(Type B); eight seconds (Type
C).

11 . CHANNEL PRESETS
The three channel preset buttons can be
used to store, 6 AM and 12 FM stations. First
select AM, FM 1, or FM2 by pressing the
AM/FM (Type A, Type B) or AM or FM (Type
C). AM, FM1, or FM2 will be displayed. Tune
the desired station and depress one of the
channel preset buttons. Hold th e button un-
til a beep is heard and sound returns. The
channel number and station frequency will
be displayed. The station is now held in
memory. Repeat th is operation for other sta-
tions and bands.
To tu ne a desired station. press th e cor-
responding preset channel button. The sta-
tion freque ncy and preset c hannel number
will be displayed.

12. AUTO MEMORY
This is particulary useful when driving in an
area where you do not know th e local sta-
tions. Supplemental AM/FM stations can be
memorized in addition to the preset stations.
Press and hold AUTO M tor about two sec-
onds. The system will automatically scan and
temporarily store the six strongest stations
of th e selected band 1 n that area. After scan-
ning is completed, the strongest station will
be tu ned and its frequency will be displayed
