Adjusting the Sound
To fully enjoy the sound coming from your
stereo system, make the following audio
adjustments. See sections following this one
for additional sound adjustments.
Adjusting the Volume
POWER-—ON
VOLUME
MUTING
VOL (+/-)
Turn VOLUME or press VOL (+/-) on the
remote commander.
To reduce the volume temporarily
(muting)
Press MUTING.
"MUTING NOW" flashes in the display
and the sound is turned off. To turn the
sound back on, press MUTING
again. The
sound also turns back on when you turn
VOLUME to the right or press VOL + on
the remote commander.
Reinforcing Bass
Use the Dynamic Bass System to strengthen
the bass.
POWER-—+ON
1 tum LEVEL to adjust the intensity of
the effect.
To strengthen the effect, turn LEVEL
clockwise.

To weaken the effect, turn LEVEL
counterclockwise.
2 Turn FREQUENCY to select the
frequency that you want to strengthen.
You can strengthen frequencies in the
range of approximately 60 Hz to 100 Hz.
If you do not want the bass
strengthened
Turn LEVEL counterclockwise completely.
If you use the Dynamic Bass System with
the amplifier
If the bass is too strong, the music will
sound distorted. Adjust the bass slowly
while listening to music so that you can
monitor the effect that the adjustment has.
To listen through the headphones
Connect the headphones to
HEADPHONES jack. No sound will come
from the speakers.

Selecting the Audio
Emphasis
Your stereo system has been factory set to
five specially recommended audio
emphases. Choose from among these five
settings according to the type of music you
are listening to.
