7 • Messages
SMS
This menu allows you to send short
messages
animations or pictures, as well as
SMS
manage the ones you receive.
Sending SMS isn't available from the idle mode when
the SMS Chat feature is On (see page 34). In this case,
you can only access the Answer option.
Send SMS
This menu allows you to send an SMS
to a contact of your choice.
Send SMS

Select a contact in the phonebook or press
and enter a new number.

When the phonebook in phone is selected, press
to send the SMS to the default number, or select
another number of your choice (see "Edit and manage
contacts" page 14).

Choose from 3 different types of messages:
To send a new message.

Last message
To edit, modify and re-send the last
message you have sent.
To select a pre-configured message,

to access the next set of options:
Save
To store the current message and its
associated icon and melody if any
in the
To send the current message.
Send now
Add sound
To attach a melody.
Add graphic
To attach a bitmap image or an
animation.
You can send up to 2 attachments of 2 different types
together with your SMS. Animations and pictures are
exclusive: if you first select an animation, then a
picture, only the picture will be taken into account
and vice-versa.
