Fault Description
"HC" is displayed at
2
power-on.
"E23.00" is displayed
3
at power-on.
The display is normal
at power- on. But
after running, "HC" is
4
displayed, and the AC
drive stops
immediately.
E14.00 (IGBT
5
overheat) is detected
frequently.
The motor does not
6
rotate after the AC
drive runs.
DI terminals are
7
disabled.
The AC drive detects
overcurrent and
8
overvoltage
frequently.
The braking torque is
insufficient when the
9
motor is decelerating
or decelerates to stop.
The symbols in the parameter table are described as follows:
☆ : It is possible to modify the parameter with the AC drive in the Stop and in the Run status.
★ : It is not possible to modify the parameter with the AC drive in the Run status.
● : The parameter is the actual measured value and cannot be modified.
* : The parameter is a factory parameter and can be set only by the manufacturer.

Cause
Related components on the
control board are damaged.
The motor or motor cable is
short circuited to ground.
The hall sensor is damaged.
The mains voltage is too
low.
The motor or motor output
cable is short circuited to
ground.
The AC drive is damaged.
The cooling fan is damaged
or locked rotor occurs.
Short circuit exists in wiring
of control terminals.
The setting of carrier
frequency is too high.
The cooling fan is damaged,
or ventilation is clogged.
Components inside the AC
drive are damaged
(thermistor or others).
The motor or motor cable is
faulty.
Motor parameters are set
improperly on the AC drive.
The drive board is faulty.
Related parameters are set
improperly.
External signals are
incorrect.
The jumper across OP and
+24 V is loose.
The control board is faulty.
Motor parameters are set
improperly.
Acceleration/Deceleration
time is set improperly.
Load fluctuates.
Voltage limit is enabled.
Setting Range
Group F0: Standard Parameters
1: G type (constant-torque load
model)
0: Sensorless vector control
(SVC)
1: Reserved
2: Voltage/Frequency (V/F)
control (not
available for synchronous motor)

2: Serial comms.
Possible Solution
Contact the agent or Trane.
Use a megger to measure the insulation
resistance of the motor and motor cable.
Contact the agent or Trane.
Replace the fan.
Eliminate short circuit faults in control
circuit wiring.
Reduce F0-15 (Carrier frequency).
Replace the fan or clean the ventilation.
Contact the agent or Trane.
Check that wiring between the AC drive
and motor is normal.
Restore the factory parameters and
reset the following parameters properly:
◆Motor ratings, such as rated motor
frequency and rated motor speed
◆F0-01 (Motor 1 control mode) and F0-
02 (Command source selection)
◆F3-01 (Torque boost) in V/F control
under heavy-load start.
Contact the agent or Trane.
Check and set parameters in group F4
again.
Re-connect external signal cables.
Re-confirm the jumper bar across OP
and +24 V.
Contact the agent or Trane.
Set motor parameters or perform motor
auto-tuning again.
Set proper acceleration/deceleration
time.
Contact the agent or Trane.
If a braking resistance is configured, set
F3-23 (V/F voltage limit selection) to 0
(Disabled) to disable voltage limit.
