Using the Supplied Software with a Computer
An image stored in the DV Cassette can be transferred to your Personal
Computer.
IN System Requirements for PHOTOVU LINK & ArcSoft
e ¡BM PC/AT or compatible.
e Intel? Pentium® Processor: 266MHz or more
e Microsoft Windows®95/98/Me, Windows®2000
e CD-ROM drive (for installation)
e Mouse or other pointing device
PHOTOVU LINK:
e RAM: 16 MB or more
e 2MB minimum available hard disk space (for installation)
e 256 color monitor (full color recommended)
e RS-232C serial port (D-Sub 9-pin). An adaptor (D-Sub 9-pin male to a D-
Sub female) is required for a D-Sub 25-pin.
ArcSoft:
e RAM: 64 MB or more
e 220 MB minimum available hard disk space (for installation)
e High color (16bit) or more
USB Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card:
e Please refer to page 45, regarding the system requirements of USB
Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card.
Hi Connections

Connect the Palmcorder to your Computer (Windows) using
the RS-232C PC Connection Cable (supplied).
e Before connecting the Palmcorder to the Computer, make sure the
Computer is off to insure that images are transferred properly.

Turn your Computer on.

Set the Palmcorder to VCR Mode.
© For extended periods of use, it is recommended to use the AC Adaptor as a
power source.
e Refer to Computer or Windows operating instructions to identify which COM
port to be used for connection.

Software Installation (windows® 95/98/Me, Windows® 2000)
1 Turn on Computer and start up Windows.

insert supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
*[Setup Menu] @ appears.

Select the software to be installed from [Setup Menu).
*PHOTOVU LINK (> 43):
Software to transfer Image from your Palmcorder to your PC.
+USB Reader/Writer Device Driver (+ 45, 46):
Software for USB Reader/Writer allows you to transfer images directly
off of the memory card into the computer
(Please refer to page 45 to install the driver of the USB Reader/Writer
for SD Memory Card.)
e ArcSoft software (+ 44):
"Panorama Maker™ 2000", "Photolmpression™ 2000" and
"PhotoPrinter® 2000 Pro" are included .

Follow the instructions on the computer screen until the
installation is complete.
e Setup window will disappear when the installation is complete.
Note:
If a window does not appear automatically, click the "Start" Button on your
desktop and then click "Run". When the "Run" Box is open, type in
"D:\instMenu.exe" and click "OK". ("D" applies when the CD-ROM drive is
drive D.)
