What to do in an emergency

7. Make the ENGINE START/STOP but -
ton position on or ignition switch posi -
tion on.
8. Switch on the compressor and let it
run for approximately 5 ~ 7 minutes
to fill the sealant up to proper pres -
sure. (refer to "Tires and wheels" on
page 8-29). The inflation pressure of
the tire after filling is unimportant and
will be checked/corrected later. Be
careful not to overinflate the tire and
stay away from the tire when filling it.
When the tire and wheel are dam -
aged, do not use Tire Mobility Kit for
your safety.
WARNING
If the tire pressure is below
26psi(180kPa), do not drive the vehicle.
The tire may cause accident.
9. Switch off the compressor.
10.Detach the sealant filling hoses from
the sealant bottle connector and from
the tire valve. After using, leave the
sealant bottle and the compressor
attached together.
Return the TMK to its storage location in
the vehicle.
WARNING
Carbon monoxide
Do not leave your vehicle running in a
poorly ventilated area for extended peri -
ods of time. Carbon monoxide poisoning
and suffocation can occur.

If you have a flat tire (with tire mobility kit)
Distributing the sealant
ONQ5061122N_2
僅 Immediately drive approximately 4 ~
6 miles (7 ~ 10 km or, about 10min) to
evenly distribute the sealant in the
tire.
CAUTION
僅 Do not exceed a speed of 50 mph (80
km/h). If possible, do not fall below a
speed of 12 mph (20 km/h).
While driving, if you experience any
unusual vibration, ride disturbance or
noise, reduce your speed and drive
with caution until you can safely pull
off of the side of the road. Call for
road side service or towing.
When you use the Tire Mobility Kit, the
wheel may be stained by sealant.
Therefore, remove the wheel stained
by sealant and have the vehicle
inspected at an authorized Kia dealer.
僅 Do not connect another vehicle's Tire
Mobility Kit (TMK) to the power outlet
or battery terminal. The unmatched
power requirement between the vehi -
cle power outlet and the tire mobility
kit can cause fire or circuit damage
within the vehicle and the Tire Mobil -
ity Kit.
