3 Overview
17 Stop pin
The stop pin blocks the shaft when a cutting
attachment is being attached.
18 Gear housing
The gear housing encloses the gearbox.
19 Screw plug
The screw plug closes the filler opening for
STIHL gear grease.
20 Battery
The battery supplies power to the brushcutter.
21 LEDs
The LEDs indicate the state of charge of the
battery and any faults.
22 Button
The pushbutton activates the LEDs on the
battery. The pushbutton activates and deacti‐
vates the Bluetooth® interface (if available).

The universal deflector protects the user

2 Grass cutting blade
The grass cutting blade cuts grass and
weeds.
3 Brush knife
The brush knife cuts brush.
4 Line limiting blade
The line limiting blade trims mowing lines to
the correct length.

5 Skirt
The skirt extends the universal deflector for
use with a mowing head.
6 Deflector for mowing heads
The deflector for mowing heads protects the
user against flying debris and contact with the
mowing head.
7 Mowing head
The mowing head accommodates the mow‐
ing lines.
8 Limit stop
Protects user from flying debris and contact
with the circular saw blade and helps support
the trimmer against the wood during cutting
work.
9 Circular Saw Blade
Cuts shrubs and trees.
10 Transport guard
The transport guard protects the user against
contact with metal cutting attachments.

Symbols
Meanings of symbols that may be on the brush‐
cutter, deflector and battery:
1 LED lights up steady red. The battery
is too warm or too cold.

4 LEDs flash red. There is a fault in the
battery.
Press the unlock button to switch the
brushcutter on and set the power levels.
This symbol marks the unlock button.
This symbol indicates the direction of
rotation of the cutting attachment.
