3. When the engine is ready for starting, slowly
pull the starter handle. When engagement of
the mechanism is felt, finish the stroke with a
strong pull, and the engine will start. After the
engine has started, allow the starter handle to
slowly return to its home position without let¬
ting go.

4. After the engine has started, return the choke
lever slowly to its home position so that the
engine does not stop.
