Remote Control Buttons

LIGHT
Temporarily lights the keys on the remote control

for use in a dark room.
POWER
Turns the currently selected device on and off.

Press SAT, TV, VCR, or AUX (described below)
to select a device.
AUX
Puts the remote control in AUX mode to control

the programmed auxiliary device (a DVD player,
for example).
VCR
Puts the remote control in VCR mode to control

the programmed VCR.
TV
Puts the remote control in TV mode to control the
5
programmed TV.

SAT
Puts the remote control in SAT mode to control the
DST-3000 receiver.

CH
Changes the channel of the current device up or
down. When in SAT mode, also functions as a
page up or page down key when the DST-3000
receiver displays a list.

EXIT
Closes all on-screen displays including program
guides, banners, and menus.
9
VOL
Controls the TV's volume, even if a different
device mode is currently selected.
MENU
When in SAT mode, displays the DST-3000 Main

Menu screen.
INFO
When in SAT mode, displays additional

information about the current program or the
highlighted program in a program guide.
FAV
When in SAT mode, displays the favorite channel

lists.

GUIDE
When in SAT mode, displays the DST-3000
receiver's Advanced Program Guide screen.

ARROWS
Allow navigation through on-screen menus
and program guides. Also, when viewing a
program, the up and down arrows access the
BannerGuide™ feature.
SELECT
Selects the currently highlighted item. When dis-

playing a program guide, accesses the PrePick™
feature. When viewing a program, accesses the
MyLogos™ feature.
INPUT
When in TV, VCR, or AUX mode, selects the

input of the current device. Not used in SAT mode.

ACTION
Displays the ACTION icon in the upper left corner
of the screen for a few seconds, during which time
other keys can be pressed to access special
functions.
MUTE
Turns off the TV's volume. Press again to restore

the volume.

PREV CH
Returns to the last channel viewed.

STOP/
If programmed, operate related features on
SOURCE,
auxiliary devices such as TVs, VCRs, and DVD
PLAY/PIP, REC,
players.
PAUSE/STILL
REW/LOCATE,
FF/SWAP
