Balancing the Speaker
System
Set Test Tone button to "On".

Note:
The "Mute" function is
inoperative during the "Test Tone"
operation.
The following steps should be set
with reference to your listening
position.
:
Turn up the Volume by using the
remote-control.
You will hear a test
tone (pink noise) that will
continuously switch from speaker to
speaker in a clockwise direction.

Adjust the balance control for equal
sound level from the left and right
front speakers at your normal
listening position.

Adjust the center level control so
that the sound from the center
speaker is the same level at your
normal listening position, as the
sound from the left and right front
speakers.
The "Center" level cannot |
be adjusted if phantom mode is
being used.

Adjust the rear speaker level to be
equal to the level of the front
speakers using the rear level keys.

Set Test Tone button to "Off".

Notes:
Once the setup is complete use the
AVR30's Volume Control to adjust
listening volume.
The Volume
Control adjusts the rear, center and
front speakers simultaneously.
The
rear and center level controls
should be used for relative
level balance adjustments only.
