Make sure the PWR LED on the subscriber station is on.

Adjust the position of the antenna until the maximum RSSI link quality reading is achieved. A single RSSI LED
indicates the subscriber station is at minimum synchronized with the base station. For information about the
RSSI LED indicators, refer to
If the subscriber station is not synchronized with the base station, make sure the subscriber station is properly
configured. For more information, refer to the RUGGEDCOM WIN User Guide for the subscriber station.
If the expected link quality still cannot be achieved, try to improve the reception quality by placing the
antenna at a higher point or in an alternate location.

Make sure the antenna is properly grounded according to local standards.

Grounding the Subscriber Station

When connecting the ground cable to the subscriber station, make sure to use a 10 AWG grounding cable and
torque the screw to 15 N·m (11 ft. lb.).

Electrocution hazard – risk of death or serious injury. The system must be properly grounded to protect
against power surges and accumulated static electricity. It is the installer's responsibility to install this
base station in accordance with the local electrical codes.

Connecting Power and Data

The RUGGEDCOM WIN5151-V-GPS requires a 9 to 36 VDC Class 2 power supply.
IMPORTANT!
When connecting a DC battery power supply, make sure to use a 36 VDC, 3 A, double-pole circuit
breaker as the main disconnecting device.
