– If fitted, open cover on battery positive terminal.
– Check battery terminal clamps -1- and -3- for secure seating.
If necessary, retighten nuts -2- and -4-.
Specified torque
Nut for battery terminal
Bolt for securing bracket
Carry out following procedures after connecting battery:

The following are measures to be carried out during a battery
inspection within the scope of maintenance.
Sequence of operations
1. Visual check.
2. Check whether colour indicator is "3-colour" or "2-colour".
Does not apply to AGM batteries.
3. Battery check using battery tester with printer -VAS 6161-.
4. Depending on the result of the battery test, "perform cur‐
rent draw test" (charged separately).
