PREPARE MACHINE FOR MAINTENANCE

Before performing the maintenance procedures given in
the following chapters, park the machine as described be-
low, unless otherwise specified.
1. Park the machine on a level surface.
2. Lower the bucket and blade to the ground.
3. Run the engine at slow idle speed without load for 5
minutes.
4. Turn the key switch OFF. Remove key from switch.
(If maintenance must be performed with engine run-
ning, do not leave machine unattended.)
5. Pull the pilot control shut-off lever (1) to the LOCK
position.
6. Before performing any work on the machine, attach a
"Do Not Operate" tag on the right control lever.
