system can maintain the temperature, with the
A/C turned off, the AUTO feature will remain on
and the AUTO button indicator light will not
switch off.
To restore automatic control of the A/C com-
pressor, push the A/C button or the AUTO but-
ton. With the A/C compressor off, the air speed
can be set manually using the Air Speed Adjust-
ment Knob.
When the A/C compressor is on, and the engine
is running, air speed cannot be lower than the
minimum speed (only one indicator light is lit).
NOTE:
When the A/C is off, the Climate Control system
can not produce air that is colder than the cur-
rent outside temperature. Under certain environ-
mental conditions, windows could fog up rapidly,
since the air is not dehumidified.
Air Recirculation Button
Push the button to change the system
between Recirculation mode and out-
side air mode.
Front Defrost
Push the button to change the current
airflow setting to Defrost mode.

Rear Defrost
Push the button to turn on the rear win-
dow defroster and heated mirrors.
CAUTION!
Failure to follow these cautions can cause dam-
age to the heating elements:
•
Use care when washing the inside of the rear
window. Do not use abrasive window cleaners
on the interior surface of the window. Use a
soft cloth and a mild washing solution, wiping
parallel to the heating elements. Labels can be
peeled off after soaking with warm water.
•
Do not use scrapers, sharp instruments, or
abrasive window cleaners on the interior sur-
face of the window.
•
Keep all objects a safe distance from the
window.
Front Defrost And MAX-DEF Function
Push the MAX-DEF button (indicator
illuminated) to defrost the windshield
and side windows.
AUTO Button
Push the button after setting your
desired temperature and the system will
maintain the set temperature.
SYNC Button
Press the SYNC button on the touch-
screen to synchronize the driver and
front passenger temperature settings.
Blower Speed
Use the small or large blower icon
toggle switches or the blower bar on
the touchscreen to increase or decrease
the amount of air forced through the
climate control system.
Air Distribution Selection
Push the Air Distribution Selection button on the
faceplate to change the mode of air distribution.
NOTE:
In AUTO mode, the Climate Controls automati-
cally manage the air distribution. When set
manually, the respective symbols on the radio
system indicate the air distribution setting.
