Running CD-I discs
• Loading
Load the disc using the caddy: on system front panel, the Rea-
ding Disc indicator flashes briefly, then lights continuously, and on
the screen, the CD-I Start icon appears.
• ProgramStart
To start the CD-l program, select the Start icon on the screen, or
press the Start/Play key > on the system front panel.
Note. If AUTO START CD- ON has been selected on the SET-
TINGS Screen, the CD- program will start automatically.
From this point, all interaction is between the user and the disc
program.
Whenever the disc is being read, the Reading Disc
indicator flashes on the system front panel. To stop at any time,
select the stop or exit function provided by the program, or press
the Retun to Zero DO< on the system front panel. The disc then
stops and the CD- Start screen reappears.
Unloading
Remove the disc using the caddy: on the system front panel, the
Reading Disc indicator flashes briefly and then goes out, and on
the display the Start-up screen reappears.
Note. The disc should not be unloaded while the CD-I program is
running, unless the program asks for it.

Playing CD-Audio discs

Note. This procedure can also be used for the digital audio tracks of
12 cm LaserDiscs.
• Loading

Reading Disc indicator flashes briefly and then lights continuously,
and on the display, the CD-Audio screen appears.

In all play and pause modes shows track number and elapsed or
remaining track playing time. To change between elapsed and
remaining time, select the time in the window.

In all stop modes
shows the last track number played and its
playing time. If another track in the play track bar is selected
shows track number and playing time. If the total tracks icon in
the play track bar is selected, shows total number of tracks and
total playing time.
2. CREATE PROGRAM Star for creating music programs.
3. Play Track Bar shows up to 10 track number and total numberof
tracks.
For discs with more than 10 tracks, the forward and
reverse scroll arrows at the left and right of the track bar scrol the
track numbers through the bar.
4. PROGRAM icon for playing (previously created) music progams.
Disc play
All the disc play control functions are shown on the screen, and
can be selected as desired. The operation of the functions is
briefly explained in the following table. For further guidance, con-
sult the IINFO Screen.

if AUTO
