This Compact Disc Interactive (CD-) system is designed to run discs

conforming to the CD-I standard. It will also play CD-Audio discs and
the audio tracks of 12 cm LaserDiscs, and can be extended for use
as a CD-ROM drive. Extension slots and RS 232-C I/O ports allow

for the connection of peripherals and communication devices, for
memory extension and for sever/networking

specific applications, including CD-ROM. The floppy disc drive of the
CDI 602 is a versatile system-specific storage and retrieval facility.
