If sibilance or " popping" occurs, position t he microphone
not direct ly in front of t he mout h but slight ly to the side.
In order to prevent feedback, position monitor loud-
speakers so that they are located in the angle area of the
highest cancellation of the microphone.
In order to prevent interference due to crosstalk between
adjacent sound sources, t ry to position the microphone so
that t he int erfering sound source is locat ed in t he angle
area of t he highest cancellat ion of the microphone
(approx. 180°; see polar diagram).
